Brazilian goalkeeper Bento set to join Al Nassr
25-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Bento has completed his move to Saudi Pro League Al Nassr, making him the club’s first signing of the 2024 summer transfer window. Bento came through the ranks of Athletico Paranaense and has made 164 first-team appearances for the club since 2021.
Al Nassr were interested in Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson for €30 million but their bid was rejected as the English giants value the Brazilian at €60 million. They wanted to replace Colombian keeper David Ospina who left the club following the expiry of his contract.
Bento has bagged two caps for the Brazil national side and served as backup to Liverpool’s Alisson in the latest Copa America tournament.
