Ruben Amorim Agrees Verbally with Liverpool

With manager Jurgen Klopp set to depart at the end of the season, Liverpool FC have been on the lookout for a replacement who could at least attempt to match the ability of the German gaffer. While Xabi Alonso was the top priority of the Reds to replace the departing manager, his decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen dented the plans of the Liverpool management. However,  The Kop loyalists have much to look forward to as Ruben Amorim reaches a verbal agreement with Liverpool FC.

The news was first broken by Sky Sports Germany reporting Florian Plettenberg. According to Plettenberg, Amorim has now reached a verbal agreement with the Reds in principle. Liverpool has been pursuing the Sporting CP manager for a long time and with the name of Xabi Alonso being eliminated from Liverpool’s list, the management intensified their efforts to secure Amorim’s signature. 

Now it seems that Amorim has the chance of signing a contract with Liverpool till 2027, according to Florian Plettenberg. While talks with Sporting CP haven’t been set into motion yet, this development will certainly boost the hopes of Liverpool fans across the world.
