10. Dennis Tueart
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tueart began his initial playing career with local club Sunderland, whom he represented for six years between 1968-74. Following that, he joined Manchester City and hit the ground running immediately.
Tueart played mainly as a winger and was still prolific enough to be mistaken as a striker. He bagged 87 goals in his 238 club appearances and won the League Cup in 1975/76.
9. Erling Haaland
A modern phenom who signed for the club just under three years ago, Haaland is rapidly climbing up this list and is already ninth with 90 goals from just 98 games.
The Norwegian is an imposing presence in and around the box as he has pace as well as aerial ability, making him one of the toughest strikers to defend. Aged just 24 still, he has plenty of time to score several more goals and establish himself as one of City’s all-timers.
8. Gabriel Jesus
Jesus made the switch for Manchester City from Palmeiras in 2016 as a highly-rated 19-year-old and was touted to achieve big things with the club. He played as a striker but also as a winger when other players needed to be accommodated.
Jesus made 236 appearances for the club, bagging 95 goals in the process and also provided 45 assists. He won four Premier League titles and one FA Cup, among other honours, making him one of Man City’s top scorers.

7. Shaun Goater
An integral part of the Manchester City side that secured a famous double-promotion to mark their swift return to the First Division in the 1990s, Goater’s contributions to the club are massive.
He came through the ranks at Manchester United in 1989 but could not establish himself and had spells with Rotherham, Notts County and Bristol City, before finally joining Manchester City in 1998. He bagged 99 goals in 205 appearances for the club, ranking him seventh on the list of top Man City scorers.
6. Joe Hayes
Hayes hails from Kearsley in Lancashire and began his playing career with Manchester City in 1953, spending 12 years at the club. He made 254 appearances for City, scoring 101 goals in the process. He also won the FA Cup with the club in 1956.
5. Kevin De Bruyne
One of the best passers of the ball in Premier League history, De Bruyne is already undoubtedly a Manchester City legend and also has a spot on the list of top Man City scorers. He joined City from German side Wolfsburg in 2015 and has been the heartbeat of their teams since.
Not only does the Belgian have an impressive 102 goals, he has provided an amazing 170 assists for teammates as well, in 382 appearances so far. He has also won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the Champions League, among other honours.
4. Colin Bell
Bell spent 13 glorious years playing for the club and ended his career as one of Man City top scorers of all-time. He spent his initial three years playing for Bury between 1963-66, before joining City that year. Bell made 426 appearances for the club, scoring 126 goals in the process. He won one First Division title, one Second Division title, and the Cup Winners’ Cup, among other honours.

3. Francis Lee
Lee came through the ranks and began his initial playing career with Bolton Wanderers between 1959-67, before joining Manchester City. A short and prolific striker, Lee hit the ground running with City and bagged 128 goals in just 290 games for the club. He won one First Division title, one FA Cup, one League Cup and also the Cup Winners’ Cup.
2. Raheem Sterling
Having come through the ranks at Liverpool, Sterling spent three successful seasons with the Reds before making the switch to Manchester City in 2015. He made 339 appearances for the club, scoring 131 goals and also providing 73 assists, and is second on the list of Man City top scorers.
Sterling also boasts an impressive trophy haul while at the club, having won four Premier League titles, five League Cups and one FA Cup, among other honours.
1. Sergio Aguero
Manchester City’s all-time top scorer with 260 goals and 65 assists in 390 games, Aguero tops the list of Man City top scorers with ease. He signed from Atletico Madrid ahead of the 2011/12 season and had already become a club legend with his title-winning goal by the end of the same season.
He is a five-time Premier League winner, an FA Cup winner and a six-time EFL Cup winner, among other honours. He won one Golden Boot (2014/15) and was also inducted into the PL Hall of Fame in 2022.
