Kylian Mbappe Decides His Next Destination as He Announces Departure from PSG

Kylian Mbappe has no plans to move to the Premier League this summer, reports Fabrizio Romano. The PSG star is keen on moving to Real Madrid when the season ends.

Kylian Mbappe’s Farewell Announcement and Future Plans

The Italian reporter has added that Mbappe had the opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia last summer but was not interested. He was reportedly offered a massive €200 million per season contract – on par with Cristiano Ronaldo’s salary at Al Nassr.

Romano adds that the PSG star is unwilling to disappoint Florentino Perez once again after rejecting the offer from the Real Madrid president in 2022. Los Blancos were confident of getting the Frenchman on a free transfer, but the forward signed a new deal.

However, he has confirmed that there are no plans to extend his stay this summer. He released a video last week and sent a message to the fans and revealed his decision. He said:

“I wanted to speak to you. I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes, and so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain. I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks.”

Mbappe added:

“I will play my last game at the Parc des Princes on Sunday. It’s a lot of emotion; many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club – one of the best in the world – which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure; to grow as a player of course, by being alongside some of the best in history – some of the greatest champions; to meet a lot of people, to grow as a man as well, with all the glory and the mistakes I’ve made.”

The Frenchman went on to confirm that he will be leaving the country this summer for his new challenge and added:

“It’s hard, and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that, to leave my country, France, Ligue 1, a championship I have always known, but I think I needed this – a new challenge after seven years.”

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City were also linked with Kylian Mbappe. However, none of the Premier League clubs came close to matching the wages offered by Real Madrid.
