We’ve gathered the preliminary team and injury updates for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 10. This initial report provides a general overview of all 20 Premier League teams, but the detailed fitness information will come from the pre-match press conferences scheduled for Friday.

Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic, and Ryan Sessegnon are unavailable due to knee and hamstring issues. Ben Davies was absent in the previous match due to a minor “knock.”

Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka, who both had hamstring and knee problems respectively, have suffered setbacks and are back on the sidelines. On a positive note, Armando Broja, recovering from a knee injury, has been seen back in training and may make a quick return to action.

For Brentford, Aaron Hickey is set to return from suspension for the match against Chelsea, assuming he has recovered from a knock that forced him to withdraw from the Scotland national team during the international break. However, Kevin Schade is dealing with a muscle issue, Keane Lewis-Potter has a calf problem, Mikkel Damsgaard is recovering from a knee injury, Rico Henry is also sidelined with a knee issue, Josh Dasilva has a hamstring injury, and Shandon Baptiste is nursing a shoulder problem. Ivan Toney is suspended. Baptiste appears to be the closest to making a return, having “part trained” with the team recently, as indicated by Thomas Frank, the Brentford manager.

Brentford: Flekken, Collins, Pinnock, Mee, Roerslev, Jensen, Norgaard, Janelt, Hickey, Mbeumo, Wissa.

Arsenal vs Sheffield United

Before their recent victory over Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal had managed to reduce their injury list to just Jurrien Timber, who was dealing with a knee issue. However, the match against Sevilla had its toll. Thomas Partey was unable to participate due to a muscle problem, and Gabriel Jesus, who scored a goal, had to leave the match prematurely due to a concerning hamstring injury, causing Mikel Arteta some worry.

Sheffield United’s already unfortunate run with injuries took a turn for the worse last week. Anel Ahmedhodzic, who had a hamstring problem, missed the game against Manchester United, and he joined a growing list of injured players that included John Egan (foot), Tom Davies (thigh), Chris Basham (leg), Max Lowe (ankle), Adam Davies (unspecified), Rhys Norrington-Davies (hamstring), Daniel Jebbison (illness), and Will Osula (unspecified). There is now an update awaited on Oli McBurnie, who was substituted early in the match against Manchester United due to groin pain.

On a more positive note, Ben Osborn returned as a substitute after his recent absence, and George Baldock, who had a calf issue, could potentially make a comeback this week after resuming training.

Tyler Adams, Ryan Fredericks, and Emiliano Marcondes are still some distance away from returning to the squad, with Adams nursing a hamstring problem, Fredericks dealing with a calf injury, and Marcondes recovering from a foot issue. Additionally, Lewis Cook will begin serving a three-match suspension due to a red card for violent conduct in the previous match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On the Burnley side, Connor Roberts is suspended for the upcoming match, serving a one-match ban at the Vitality Stadium. Manuel Benson has a knock, Johann Berg Gudmundsson is dealing with a muscle issue, Hjalmar Ekdal has a knee problem, and Jordan Beyer’s injury is unspecified. Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Newcastle United

As Wolverhampton Wanderers prepare for their upcoming match against Newcastle United in Gameweek 10, they welcome back Mario Lemina and Nelson Semedo from suspension. This means there are only two Wolves players with current injury concerns. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde missed the previous victory over Bournemouth due to a “small” muscle injury, while Hugo Bueno has been absent for a month due to a knee issue.

In contrast, Newcastle United are dealing with a growing list of injuries. Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy are expected to miss the match due to groin and shoulder issues, respectively, both picked up in the midweek loss to Borussia Dortmund. Elliot Anderson is also unavailable due to a back injury that will keep him out for several weeks. In addition to these new injuries, Harvey Barnes is sidelined with a toe problem, Lewis Miley is dealing with an illness, and Sven Botman has a knee issue, with his return potentially not expected until at least Gameweek 12. Newcastle United: Pope, Trippier, Lascelles, Schär, Burn, Longstaff (Sean), Bruno Guimarães, Joelinton, Almirón, Wilson (Callum), Gordon.

West Ham United vs Everton

West Ham United’s backup full-backs, Ben Johnson and Aaron Cresswell, were declared fit by their manager, David Moyes, in preparation for the UEFA Europa League match against Olympiacos on Thursday. Their return is well-timed as Emerson Palmieri is set to serve a one-match suspension in the Premier League, and Vladimir Coufal has some muscle tightness that caused him to miss the trip to Greece.

On the Everton side, they will also be missing a full-back due to suspension in the upcoming Gameweek 10 match. Ashley Young is set to serve a one-match ban following his red card in the previous match. Dele Alli, Seamus Coleman, and Andre Gomes have been long-term absentees with hip, knee, and calf injuries, respectively. However, Coleman is making progress and is back in training, suggesting that he is nearing a return to action.

However, there are some ongoing injury concerns for Villa. Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia continue to be sidelined with knee injuries and are expected to remain out for an extended period. Jacob Ramsey and Alex Moreno, who recently suffered setbacks in their rehabilitation with foot and hamstring injuries, respectively, are not yet ready to return to the lineup.

On the Luton Town side, they are facing a series of defensive injuries. Albert Sambi Lokonga is dealing with a hamstring issue, Daniel Potts has an ankle problem, Jordan Clark also has an ankle injury, and both Mads Andersen and Amari’i Bell have been sidelined with hamstring injuries. Additionally, Reece Burke is a recent concern after being withdrawn in Gameweek 9, adding to Luton’s defensive woes.

Luton Town: Kaminski, Issa Kabore, Lockyer, Mengi, Doughty, Brown, Ruddock Mpanzu, Nakamba, Ogbene, Morris, Adebayo.

Brighton and Hove Albion vs Fulham

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has provided an update on the team’s injuries. Solly March, who has a knee issue, and Danny Welbeck, dealing with a muscle problem, are both set to be sidelined for an extended period due to the injuries they sustained in Gameweek 9.

Before this update, Pervis Estupinan, Tariq Lamptey, and Julio Enciso were already on the list of sidelined players. However, there is some positive news as Estupinan has been seen back on the training ground this week, engaging in individual work alongside Adam Lallana.

Fulham, on the other hand, had several players on their injury list in the previous weekend. Tosin Adarabioyo was dealing with a groin injury, Adama Traore had a hamstring problem, Issa Diop had a foot issue, and Kenny Tete was nursing a groin injury. Divock Origi and Callum Hudson-Odoi have joined him on the sidelines with hip and hamstring injuries, respectively, and they are expected to be out for several weeks. Danilo and Felipe have been seen in training this week, but the fitness status of Nuno Tavares and Gonzalo Montiel, who have groin and calf issues, respectively, remains unknown.

Manchester United vs Manchester City

Fantasy Premier League

In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Manchester derby, Manchester City’s injury list is relatively short, with Kevin De Bruyne being the only player sidelined due to a hamstring issue. However, Manuel Akanji won’t be available as he serves a one-match suspension for his red card in Gameweek 9.

City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, made seven changes in the midweek match against Young Boys, explaining that the benching of Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden was partly related to their fitness. Alvarez came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute and even managed to score, while Foden remained an unused substitute.

On the Manchester United side, they will be without Jadon Sancho, who is out for disciplinary reasons, as well as Lisandro Martinez with a foot injury, Luke Shaw with a muscle problem, Amad Diallo recovering from a knee issue, and Tyrell Malacia also dealing with a knee problem.

There is a chance that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has been nursing a hamstring injury, might return soon, but the derby match may come too soon for him. Casemiro, who had an ankle issue, is already back in training after missing Gameweek 9, and Kobbie Mainoo made his playing return from an ankle injury in the under-19s match in midweek.

Man United: Onana, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Reguilón, Casemiro, Amrabat, Bruno Fernandes, McTominay, Rashford, Højlund.

Man City: Ederson, Walker, Rúben Dias, Gvardiol, Stones, Rodri, Álvarez, Bernardo Silva, Doku, Haaland, Foden.
