Predicted Lineups, Injury Updates, and Team News | FPL Gameweek 2

It’s the early days in the English Premier League 2024-25, and the top 20 clubs of England’s top division are gearing up for their respective matchday 2.

FPL managers be aware! These are the early days, look below and see all the predicted line-ups, injuries and team news before making your moves:

Brighton vs Manchester United

Six players from Brighton are expected to not be part of the game. Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March, and Evan Ferguson are confirmed to not take part, with injuries. Verbruggen, Lamptey, and Julio Enciso are also doubtful.

Manchester United too have too many injuries to suffer with. New signing Leny Yoro is out, and so are other star players like Hojlund, Lindeloff and Luke Shaw.

Brighton Predicted XI

Manchester United Predicted XI

Onana (GK); Mazraoui, Maguire, Martinez, Diogo Dalot; Casemiro, Mainoo; Alejandro Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Zirkzee

Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton

London outfit Tottenham Hotspur have a full squad available, except for three players – Rodrigo Bentancur, and Fraser Forster are injured. While Yves Bissouma is not included due to disciplinary issues.

Everton got trampled by Brighton last week, and it was majorly due to a chunk of players being injured. The players are still injured, the tally is now seven – Patterson, Young, Garner, Chermiti, Coleman, and Branthwaite.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI

Vicario (GK); Pedro Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Gray, Sarr; Johnson, Maddison, Son; Solanke

Everton Predicted XI

Pickford (GK); Holgate, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Harrison, Iroegbunam, Gueye, Doucoure, McNeil; Calvert-Lewin

Crystal Palace vs West Ham

Crystal Palace only have one injury concern, and that is Matheus Franca. Joachim Anderson is also doubtful as he has advanced dialogues with Fulham.

Edson Alvarez still remains injured in the West Ham squad. New signings like Wan-Bissaka and Jean Clair-Todibo might get a chance in this fixture.

West Ham Predicted XI

Southampton vs Nottingham Forest

Bazunu is out of the game for Southampton with an injury, while the availability of Lallana, Sulemana, and Stewart is also doubtful, as all three have minor injuries.

Nottingham Forest only have one injured player and that is Danilo. Also, Aina and Elanga may not be match fit yet.

Nottingham Forest Predicted XI

Fulham vs Leicester City

Fulham will enjoy a squad free from injury. New signing, Emile Smith Rowe is expected to make a home match debut in this fixture.

Star centre-forward Jamie Vardy had injury concerns prior to the Tottenham Hotspur game. The veteran will be assessed again. Leicester City will also not enjoy the services of another forward Patson Daka, and defenders Conor Coady and Luke Thomas.

Fulham Predicted XI

Leicester City Predicted XI

Hermansen (GK), Vestergaard, Faes, Justin, Kristiansen, Winks, Ndidi, Buonanotte, Vardy, De Cordova-Reid, Fatawu

Man City vs Ipswich Town

Star midfielder Rodri and Oscar Bobb shall not be available for selection in the Manchester City squad. IIKay Gundogan’s homecoming might happen in this game.

Visitors to Ipswich Town are suffering from a series of injuries. George Hirst, Nathan Broadhead and Harry Clarke are all out with injuries. Arijanet Muric and Wes Burns are also doubtful.

Man City Predicted XI

Ederson (GK); Lewis, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Kovacic, De Bruyne; Bernardo, Foden, Doku, Haaland

Ipswich Town Predicted XI

Walton (GK); Tuanzebe, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Morsy, Luongo; Johnson, Chaplin, Hutchinson; Delap

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

Boubacar Traore and Tyrone Mings are suffering from serious injuries in the Aston Villa squad. Matty Cash’s availability is also not something to be sure of.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney won’t be present for Arsenal in this game. However, Fabio Vieira is match fit now.

Aston Villa Predicted XI

Martinez (GK); Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Bailey, Tielemans, Onana, McGinn; Watkins, Duran.

Arsenal Predicted XI

Raya (GK); White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Rice, Odegaard, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle United FC

Bournemouth have three injured players. The unavailable players are centre-forward Enes Unal, defensive midfielder Tyler Adams and winger David Brooks.

Newcastle United have many injured players – Botman, Lascelles, Miley and Wilson. The side will also fail to avail the services of two suspended players, Fabian Schar and Sandro Tonali.

Bournemouth Predicted XI

Newcastle United Predicted XI

Wolves vs Chelsea

In the Wolves squad, Nelson Semedo is serving a suspension, while Sasa Kalajdzic (knee), Leon Chiwone, Enso Gonzalez, and Rayan Ait-Nouri are injured.

For Chelsea, Cole Palmer is doubtful for the game while Reece James remains out.

Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is injured and his availability is in doubt.

Brentford has four core players injured – Aaron Hickey, Rico Henry, Joshua Dasilva and Igor Thiago
