Paulo Dybala to Al Qadsiah: Transfer deal takes shape
The 12 million euro release clause, which was a potential exit route for Dybala, expired at the end of July. As a result, Roma and Al Qadsiah are now discussing a new transfer fee.
Roma’s push to sell Dybala is largely driven by financial reasons, as his current salary of 16 million euros gross is set to increase in the upcoming seasons putting pressure on Roma’s budget.
Dybala’s agent Carlos Novel is actively meeting with Al Qadsiah representatives to finalize the deal. Despite Dybala previously turning down an offer from the Saudi club, recent developments suggest he is now inclined to make the move.
With Roma already planning for the season ahead including reaching an agreement with Jeremy Boga, the club decided to bench Dybala for their opening match against Cagliari. This decision underscores the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Dybala’s future at the club.
As the transfer deadline, approaches eyes will be on whether Al Qadsiah can finalize the agreement and bring Dybala to Saudi Arabia.
