Newcastle United plotting to hijack Conor Gallagher move
The Magpies are interested in hijacking a deal for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher who was reportedly closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid last week. But the move collapsed in the final hours because Chelsea failed to agree to personal terms to sign Atletico striker Samu Omorodion.
The 24-year-old successfully completed his medical with Atletico but he was now returned to London after he was left stranded in a Madrid hotel for five days waiting to complete his £33m transfer. Newcastle United have now entered the race for his services.
Eddie Howe is looking to take advantage of this situation and make a last-minute move for the England international.
