Mohamed Salah’s Injury Update as Club Manager spoken on him in the press conference today
Mohamed Salah Injury Update
Liverpool assistant manager Pepe Lijnders expressed doubts over Mohamed Salah’s participation in the Carabao Cup final this Sunday. The Egyptian missed their Luton Town clash in the Premier League on Wednesday after experiencing discomfort.
Following a month out due to international commitments with Egypt for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Salah returned against Brentford. He replaced Diogo Jota who himself went off in the first half with an injury, and then marked his return with a goal.

All that joy, though, was short-lived as the 31-year-old missed the very next clash, and is now uncertain for the Wembley showpiece on Sunday too. Liverpool are up against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup finals, in a repeat of the 2022 final, which the Reds won on penalties.
Without Salah, Jurgen Klopp’s side will have their task cut out, as Salah has enjoyed another prolific campaign. He’s scored 19 goals and made 10 assists from 28 appearances in all competitions this season, including 15 strikes in the Premier League.
Pep Lijnders, Klopp’s assistant, attended the press conference earlier today and expressed doubts about his chances (Liverpool Injury Update) of making it for the all-important clash. He didn’t sound too positive about Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez’s conditions either. Speaking in a Liverpool press conference, he said:
“Dom, Darwin and Mo we have to really see. We have two more days and we will check if they are there, would be great if they can be to be honest. And the rest Jurgen has already said.”
Liverpool are aiming to win their record-extending 10th title in the competition
The Reds are the most successful side in the Carabao Cup with nine titles. Their last one came in 2022, beating Chelsea 11-10 in a marathon penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw.
