Mikel Arteta expected to sign new long-term contract

The Spaniard is expected to sign a bumper-new contract before the end of the 2024/25 season, as the 42-year-old manager’s current deal with Arsenal expires in 2025. Mikel Arteta has been in charge of the North London giants for the last five years, having been appointed back in December 2019.

The relationship between the owners and Arteta is strong and no formal talks are necessary despite him entering the final 12 months of his contract. The board is convinced that the team will continue to progress with the Spaniard in charge.

Arsenal will reportedly offer Mikel Arteta a bumper new extension, which will make him the highest-paid manager in the club’s history.
