“It’s not going to be the end of the world”: Mauricio Pochettino comments on his Chelsea future
The Chelsea owners are expected to review Mauricio Pochettino’s future at the end of this season but the Argentine seems to be not worried about it. Pochettino claims he will walk away from Chelsea if he’s unhappy and is not bothered about the sack.

The Blues have surprisingly been in spectacular form, having lost only one of their last 12 Premier League games leaving them with a realistic chance of securing European football.
The Chelsea owners are still deliberating on the manager situation at Chelsea even though Pochettino has one year left on his contract. They will hold an end-of-season review after the final game against Bournemouth which will dictate the future of the Argentine manager.
But the 52-year-old manager himself suggested that his Chelsea future would not be simply decided by the board as he would seek clarification on issues from the owners and sporting directors at Stamford Bridge. The end of the season review is expected days after the Bournemouth game.
“We know the organisation that the club is building here; we are all under assessment,” said Pochettino ahead of facing Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
“If we are happy, perfect. But it’s not only if the owner is happy, or the sporting directors are happy. If we are happy, we need to ask also, because maybe we say we are not happy.
“If we assess the situation and we are not happy, then we need to split.
“But it’s not going to be the first time that a coaching staff decide at the end of a season not to keep going. But at this stage, it goes in the opposite way. Maybe if we leave here, it’s not a problem, it’s not going to be the end of the world.”
Chelsea remains unbeaten in five of their last six matches and are breathing down the neck of Newcastle United who are languishing in the sixth position. The Blues have an easier run of fixtures in the final lap of the league campaign.
Even the owner Todd Boehly was appreciative of the team’s efforts in recent weeks and claimed that the club’s plan is “coming together” under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.
