Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes missing from Manchester United line up for Arsenal clash
Following their heavy defeat to Crystal Palace, it had many Manchester United fans worried how their team would line up against Arsenal especially after Bruno Fernandes missed out. The Portuguese international was still recovering from an injury and was rumoured to be doubtful. But after he missed his first ever club game through injury, it changed things completely.
However, with Erik ten Hag confirming that Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay would be back to face the Gunners in the Premier League, it eased a few worried fans. But that has now changed as while Amad Diallo was rumoured to make a shock start against Arsenal, rumours indicated that both Fernandes and Rashford would miss out.
That shocked more than a few fans and critics alike especially given how big a role both men hold within the squad.

That was confirmed when the lineups were annouced as Diallo started alongside Andre Onana, Sofyan Amrabat, Casemiro and a few others. However, the shocking fact was more that both Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes did not make the squad at all. The duo were reportedly doubtful for the game but that hinted more towards them making the bench.
Not only that, Ten Hag confirmed that Rashford and Fernandes were training two days prior to the clash which only adds to the mystery surrounding the two men’s absence. Furthermore, Mason Mount has also joined the injury list but Scott McTominay is back and starts in midfield. Will Kambwala, however, is on the bench alongside Christian Eriksen, Toby Collyer and a few others.
