Manchester United open to signing one more centre-back this summer
The Red Devils have completed the signing of Leny Yoro in a deal worth £52million and the club are still in the market for further defensive reinforcements in this summer window.
Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt is high on United’s wish-list, but they are refusing to pay more than €50 million plus add-ons for the Dutch defender. However, should Bayern refuse to accept a lower fee, the Red Devils would need to offload a few players this summer in order to sanction a move for the De Ligt.
United could also revive their interest in Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, but not at Everton’s adamant £70m price tag. The English giants have already seen two bids at – £43m and £50m for the English defender rejected this summer.
