Manchester United interested in Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana

The Red Devils will attempt a hijack midfielder Youssouf Fofana, who has reportedly agreed on a four-year contract with AC Milan. United are currently considering options in the midfield department if the Manuel Ugarte deal falls through.

Monaco will at least demand €35 million to sell the 25-year-old Ligue 1 midfielder this summer, with AC Milan considered the frontrunner for the Frenchman. The Rossoneri are not willing to pay Monaco’s asking price for a player, who has less than a year remaining on his contract.

United needs a midfielder who can offer defensive solidity and Fofana fits the profile for Erik ten Hag’s side.
