Manchester United has agreed on personal terms with Matthijs de Ligt
The Dutch defender has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Premier League giants Matthijs de Ligt and are optimistic of concluding a deal by the end of this week.
Bayern Munich are demanding in excess of £42million for the former Ajax youth academy product and United have agreed to match their asking price for the 24-year-old. De Ligtis is only interested in a move to Manchester United this summer despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
Erik ten Hag is reportedly in the market for two defenders and De Ligt would be a suitable pairing with Lisandro Martinez at the heart of defence.
