Manchester City set to be without seven players for pivotal title clash against Arsenal
Following their treble winning success last season, a lot was expected from Manchester City especially with the Cityzens trying to win their fourth league title in a row. That would make them the first team in Premier League history to do that although things haven’t gone to plan so far. City have instead struggled for consistency with injuries to key players causing problems for Pep Guardiola.
That includes Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and several others over the course of the season which has meant that City haven’t quite been the top team. It has handed fans a three horse race for the title with a pivotal title clash coming up as Guardiola’s men face Arsenal in Gameweek 30. With just nine games left in the season, points are at a premium but City go into the clash with at least seven players in doubt.

Manchester City facing injury crisis ahead of Arsenal clash
As per various reports, the Cityzens could be without seven first team players for the clash against Arsenal. That includes Ederson Morales, Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and a few others. This comes after a horrific international break for the Manchester side as Matheus Nunes, Akanji, Stones and Walker all suffered injury while on national duty.
De Bruyne, Ederson and Jack Grealish are the other three names on the injury list but the trio have been there for a while after suffering injuries prior to the international break. However, the Daily Mail has reported that Walker is a serious doubt for the Arsenal game while De Bruyne and Grealish are all being monitored. The report has also indicated that Guardiola is concerned at the number of injuries and is worried he may not have a full strength team to call upon.
But reports have indicated that Ederson could be fit in time to face the Gunners but so far, the club has yet to announce any news regarding the same. That could change after Pep Guardiola’s pre-match press conference which could take place either on Friday or Saturday.
