Argentine media, Manchester United legend praises Alejandro Garnacho’s performance
Aged only 20 years, Alejandro Garnacho has already become a hero in the Manchester United camp. The prolific winger struck a marvelous goal in the 82nd minute of the FA Community Shield final to hand the Red Devils a lead in the Manchester Derby. He even converted his shot when he came after Bruno Fernandes and Dalot during the tie-breaker.
The young Argentine winger came as a substitute for Amad Diallo in the 59th minute of the game and took every opportunity since then to help his side clinch the silverware. Garnacho took just 23 minutes to give the Red Devils an early lead, from where they eventually conceded and lost in the shoot-outs.
The no. 17 operating from the right took the ball into the D-box with his electric pace, fooling two City defenders with his dribbling skills, before finally taking a fierce shot to score the goal. Other than this marvelous goal, he also left an invaluable impact in the minimal game time he received.
His immense gameplay in the finale earned him the praise of club legend Roy Keane. Phil Bardsley also spoke well about him.
Alejandro Garnacho had recently won the Copa America for a record time for his country Argentina. In his native land, the media houses went all-praise for him after seeing the spectacle yet again. Outlet Ole claims his “future is extremely promising”. They even compared him with the greatest of all time, Lionel Messi.
Radio Gol also made a reference with Messi. They praised his ability to penetrate from the right wing to the centre, just like his national team captain.
