Man City agree Al Hilal’s £21.2m transfer fee for Joao Cancelo

Manchester City have accepted a €25m (£21.2m) package from Al Hilal for outcast defender Joao Cancelo, who has been poised to leave Etihad in this summer transfer window. The move is now all down to the player’s approval who sought a permanent transfer to Barcelona this season.

The 30-year-old Portuguese international is expected to sign a three-year contract and will pocket a salary worth around £15m a year. He was not involved in City’s two Premier League games this season and also missed out on City’s Community Shield win over Man Utd.

Cancelo has garnered more than 150 appearances for the Cityzens and won three Premier League trophies.
