Atletico Madrid considering loan move for Manchester City’s Matheus Nunes

Atletico Madrid are reportedly exploring a move for Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes as the Portuguese would struggle to find minutes following the return of Ilkay Gundogan last week.

Man City are yet to receive any concrete offer for the 25-year-old but according to The Athletic, Atletico are considering a loan move for Nunes after signing Julian Alvarez from them earlier this month.

Nunes joined City from Wolves in a deal worth up to £53m deal last summer and could only manage seven starts in 17 Premier League appearances last season. He could head out the door on a temporary basis to a club where he would be guaranteed first-team football.
