Luis Enrique demands real passion from the PSG players next season
Failing to win the Champions League this season made Paris Saint-Germain make a huge reinforcement in the club’s squad next season. The manager Luis Enrique has requested the board members to ensure that they would have the best players in every position possible.
Through his latest post on X, the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano breaks down what Enrique said regarding the club’s transfer policy this summer. The Spanish manager highlighted the lack of motivation within the squad in terms of playing.
Luis Enrique demands real passion from his players
That is why he sent a message to all of the players in the current squad to take their job seriously.
“I can confirm we will sign new players in every position for next season,” Enrique said according to Romano. “It’s also a message to the players we have in the squad right now, even the best players: next season I want two important players per position. It will be difficult to play for PSG.”
PSG advanced all the way to the semi final before Borussia Dortmund came in the way. Les Parisiens lost 2-0 on aggregate and failed to step further in their highly-desired trophy contest.
For Enrique, this is a huge disappointment following big transfers the club have done every season. the Ligue 1 club will also be playing without Kylian Mbappe who decided not to extend his contract with the club. The rumours have strongly linked the 22-year old with Real Madrid and the official statement will be announced soon.
“We take into consideration what the player wants but there is a club which pays him, which invests a lot,” the former Barcelona manager continued. “We look for the best but one thing in common.
“With the sports management, we will analyze each case individually and make the decisions that we consider to be best for the club and the player. There must be consensus.”
