Liverpool to “sacrifice” Joe Gomez for Anthony Gordon

Liverpool are desperate to sign a former Everton youngster Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United. The Reds are so serious about the move that they are ready to put the current longest-serving player Joe Gomez into part of the discussion.

Ian Doyle from Liverpool Echo reported that Liverpool had agreed in principle with Gordon’s current employer Newcastle United. The fee is reported to be around £75 million plus £45 million from selling Gomez.

Gordon has been stealing attention from the emergence of several England young stars in recent years. He was an important part of The Magpies’ busy Premier League campaign, scoring 11 goals in 35 appearances.
