Liverpool to finalise Rio Ngumoha’s transfer from Chelsea
Liverpool stole Chelsea’s 15-year-old talent Rio Ngumoha and the finalisation process is running as the player is expected to sign legal documents. However, Ngumoha still have to wait to join the Reds’ U18 team until his paperwork is done.
The England international is so far Liverpool’s first transfer under the reign of Arne Slot since the Dutch officially on duty. The Reds take advantage of Ngumoha’s contract at Chelsea which will expire this summer.

On the other hand, a transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote that Liverpool won the race to sign Ngumoha as several big clubs also wanted him. The Nigerian descendant player will be standing on the long line of Liverpool’s young stock as several youngsters have emerged at Anfield for the past few seasons.
Ngumoha has all of a sudden become a hot topic among Liverpool fans since The Athletic’s James Pearce broke the news to the internet.
“Signing England youth international Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea is a major coup for Liverpool,” Pearce wrote. “Pathway available for young players at #LFC key to his decision having seen the opportunities given to likes of Quansah, Bradley, Danns, Clark and Koumas etc.”
Earlier in January, Ngumoha was given a chance to play with the U21 team following his impressive performance winning the national title for Chelsea U16. Within days, he is expected to join Liverpool’s young squad in the academy.
