Liverpool suffer setback in Koopmeiners chase
The Reds have been enduring a difficult summer transfer window with multiple targets slipping from their grasp, the latest being reported by Gazzetta dello Sport that Teun Koopmeiners has decided to join Juventus.
However, there still seems to be a discrepancy in the asking price, with Atalanta wanting upwards of €60million (£50m), while Juventus are said to be willing to pay €55m plus bonuses.
Meanwhile, a conflicting report from CalcioMercato states that the Reds actually have an edge over Juventus in the race to sign Koopmeiners. The report further adds that Juventus have decided to offer a player in a swap deal, but Atalanta want it to be an all cash transfer with no players involved.
