Liverpool make Goncalo Inacio transfer a ‘priority’ after Leny Yoro failure
Arne Slot’s Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio. Along with the Reds, the centre-back has previously been linked with Manchester United, who have gone ahead and wrapped up the signing of Leny Yoro.
According to Portuguese news outlet O Jogo, Inacio has emerged as a “priority” transfer for Liverpool this summer. Moreover, the Reds are in dire need of signing a new centre-back and have identified Inacio as their ideal candidate alongside Virgil van Dijk at Anfield.
However, the report mentions that Liverpool would need to pay the defender’s €60million (£50 million) release clause in order to force Sporting Lisbon into making a sale.
