Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gives an update on Wataru Endo’s absence
The Reds have a lengthy injury list and are set to be without 10 first-team players this weekend when they visit Manchester United at Old Trafford. Wataru Endo was absent in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Sheffield United, as he picked up a knock against Brighton last weekend.
Jurgen Klopp gives an update on Wataru Endo Injury
The Japanese midfielder has solidified his role as a midfield lynchpin in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI and his trajectory in his debut season has been nothing short of remarkable. But manager Jurgen Klopp expects the 31-year-old midfielder to be available to face United.
Speaking about the Wataru Endo injury, Klopp said: “That’s my information [that he will be fit].
“We rested him today. We had a feeling there could have been a chance for tonight but if we leave him out then there is a big chance for Sunday. I hope that didn’t change.”

Liverpool’s Other Injury Concerns
Liverpool FC defender Andy Robertson was the latest addition who suffered an ankle injury during the international break with Scotland. But he has since recovered from the injury and played a few minutes in Liverpool’s win over Sheffield United.
French defender Ibrahima Konate suffered a nasty blow to his knee in the second half and was later replaced by Joe Gomez as a precautionary measure. But Klopp assured there isn’t a major concern for the defender and will be available this weekend.
“Nobody got injured as far as I know today,” he explained, “so recovery started already.
“We recover and go again.”
The likes of Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Diogo Jota are all still missing, but their respective returns are edging closer. Stefan Bajcetic will also rejoin full training in a similar timeframe.
We are unlikely to see the likes of Joel Matip, and Thiago Alcantara again this season who might have played their last game for the Reds and will secure an exit this summer.
