Liverpool interested in Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton

The Reds are interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, who reportedly has a £60m release clause in this summer’s transfer window. The 20-year-old has been monitored by Liverpool for quite some time now and has put in some dominant displays for the Eagles last season.

His exploits in the Premier League earned him a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024. Liverpool are currently in the market for a No.6 and the young midfielder would solve a lot of Liverpool’s problems and could likely sanction the exit of Wataru Endo.

However, Wharton has five years left on his contract and it’s highly unlikely Crystal Palace would welcome an offer for the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder.
