All You Need To Know About Liverpool FC’s Pre-Season Schedule

Liverpool will return to Asia for this year’s pre-season tour, competing against AC Milan in Hong Kong, China, followed by their inaugural summer trip to Japan.

The Reds’ clash with Italian powerhouses Milan on Saturday, July 26, will mark the inaugural football event at the newly opened Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong, and the teams will vie for the Standard Chartered Trophy.

The complete details of the upcoming Japan segment of the tour will be revealed in due time. Arriving with elegance and comfort, players and staff will be flown to Asia by Japan Airlines, the club’s official airline partner.

Liverpool last visited the area by playing in Singapore in 2023 and previously traveled to Hong Kong for pre-season in 2017. During their time in Asia, the club will also engage in several important local community initiatives and cultural experiences, as well as organizing various supporter events featuring club legends.

Liverpool’s statement

“We’re extremely excited to be returning to Asia for this summer’s pre-season tour,” said Ben Latty, LFC’s chief commercial officer. “We’re very grateful to our principal partner, Standard Chartered, for their support in sponsoring the Standard Chartered Trophy against AC Milan, 20 years on from that magical night in Istanbul.

“And it’s a great honour for us to enjoy the award-winning and first-rate hospitality of Japan Airlines, our official airline partner, to fly us in comfort and ensure our pre-season tour starts and ends in the best way possible,” he said.

LFC, of course, are presently well on track to lift the Premier League in Arne Slot’s first season in charge of the club. They were also favourites for the cup competitions but could not complete the job in any of them, be it domestically or in Europe.
