Liverpool could let 3 big stars leave in the summer, including Luis Diaz: Reports
Liverpool FC are reportedly considering parting ways with Luis Diaz in the summer along with two other big stars.

As per The Sun (via Team Talk), Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool is under immense speculation. The Egyptian winger was a target of Saudi Arabian clubs last summer as Al-Ittihad reportedly made a £150 million offer last summer but it was rejected.
The Saudi Arabian sides, however, are expected to try again to sign Salah this summer. With Jurgen Klopp set to leave and with the winger turning 23 in the summer, he might consider leaving.
If he doesn’t leave, though, Liverpool FC could consider selling Luis Diaz to ease off their wage bill. The Reds already have a host of attacking options with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, and more.
Moreover, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, they are looking to sign a winger in the summer and have targeted Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pedro Neto. Due to this surplus and with the academy players also shining recently, Diaz could be on the club’s transfer list.
Along with Diaz, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara are also set to leave Liverpool in the summer. Both players have had to deal with injury issues this season. With their contracts expiring in the summer, the Reds will not offer them an extension and they will leave as free agents.
Matip has made just 14 appearances across competitions this season and is out until the summer due to an ACL injury. Meanwhile, Thiago has made just one appearance.

The Sun also revealed that Liverpool are trying to tie Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold to new contracts as well along with Salah. All three stars have their contracts expiring in 2025. With a host of changes expected in the summer, the club wants to retain their senior players at least.
A look at Luis Diaz’s career at Liverpool so far
Liverpool were linked with an interest in Luis Diaz in the summer of 2021 but didn’t make a move to sign him. Tottenham Hotspur then showed their interest in the winger in January 2022 which prompted the Reds to sign him for £50 million from FC Porto.
Diaz has been decent for the Reds so far, scoring 21 goals and providing 13 assists in 82 games across competitions. He has won two Carabao Cups, one FA Cup, and one Community Shield with the Merseysiders so far.
Diaz has also been an important player for Liverpool this season amidst their injury issues. He has scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 35 games across competitions this season.
