Lesley Ugochukwu will leave Chelsea this summer

Chelsea are set to loan out French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu in the 2024/25 campaign after an injury-ridden campaign last year. Signed from Stade Rennais for £23.5million in 2023, the 20-year-old midfielder could manage only 15 appearances last season.

He missed the second half of the Premier League campaign after suffering a hamstring injury in December 2023. According to Fabrizio Romano, clubs from England and Germany are keen on acquiring his services this summer.

Chelsea are under immense FFP pressure and have resorted to offloading a few academy stars this summer. Ugochukwu will play a key role in Enzo Maresca’s pre-season tour in the USA.
