Leicester City agree £8m deal for Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew

Leicester City have reportedly agreed on an £8 million plus add-ons deal with Crystal Palace to sign Jordan Ayew, per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The veteran forward is set to join Steve Cooper’s side to help bolster the Foxes attack. He was entering the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park but is now headed to the King Power.

The Foxes have been trying to comply with Premier League‘s Profit and Sustainability Rules as they are set to be hit with a two-point deduction. Ayew, 32, is a cost-effective signing who will provide competition for Jamie Vardy and Tom Cannon.

Ayew becomes Leicester’s sixth signing this summer, joining the likes of Oliver Skipp and Bobby De Cordova-Reid in Cooper’s side. He struck four goals and eight assists in 37 games last season.
