Lazio sign Arsenal star on loan with obligation to buy

Lazio have confirmed the signing of Nuno Tavares from Arsenal on loan this season. The Serie A side have an obligation to buy him permanently next summer.

Tavares was training with the Italian side earlier today even before the deal was announced. The Portuguese left back has been out on loan for the last two season and is not a part of Mikel Arteta’s plans. He moved to Marseille for the 2022/23 season and then join Nottingham Forest for the 2023/24 season.

Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica and is reportedly set to fetch around €8 million when the move becomes permanent next summer.
