Latest on Conor Gallagher’s situation at Chelsea amidst the Blues rejecting Atletico Madrid’s initial offer

Chelsea’s star midfielder Conor Gallagher’s current contract at the Stamford Bride-based club is set to expire in June 2025. It is believed in the English media that this window could be the one where the Blues would be looking to cash in on the England international, backed by his eye-catching performances in the last season.

However, Chelsea have rejected an initial offer for Gallagher from La Liga club Atletico Madrid. The offer is reported to be around €20 million, which was terminally considered to be too low by the London club. Henceforth, Chelsea has stubbornly made clear that they would not entertain any offer for Gallagher in a region of less than €40 million.

As per recent reports, Atletico Madrid is set to come back with a new offer for the midfielder, as Chelsea and Conor Gallagher wait for them. Meanwhile, as of now, their are no concrete talks of a new contract for the 24-year-old at the Stamford Bridge.

It is quite evident that Gallagher’s future still remains undecided so far. Chelsea fans would be wishing to continue seeing him in their colors. But, they would also know that if being served the right price, a deal could be beneficial for all the parties involved. In his 37 appearances for the Blues last Premier League season, the midfielder churned up 12 goal contributions (five goals and seven assists).
