Lamine Yamal’s agent makes huge contract demand at Barcelona

Spain’s Euro 2024 hero Lamine Yamal’s agent Jorge Mendes has already made a huge new contract demand in order to extend the youngster’s time at Barcelona.

According to SPORT, Yamal, who has two years left on his current contract has turned into one of the world’s best wingers, however, Barcelona were limited in what they could offer to a player under 18 years old.

But, Mendes is now asking Barcelona that they provide Yamal with a contract on par with the most important and senior players at the club. There will not be a new contract for Yamal, who is still expected to sign his next four-year deal in 2026, but the terms of that agreement will be discussed now

Mendes reportedly wants Barcelona to treat Yamal in the same way they treated Lionel Messi. Messi signed five contracts before the age of 22 as Barcelona rewarded him based on performances.
