Juventus dealt a blow after midfielder’s injury crisis in pre-season training
Serie A-bound Juventus faced a deep scar when its midfielder Fabio Miretti picked up an injury in one of the club’s pre-season friendlies. As per ‘Football Italia’, Miretti has suffered a compound fracture in his right foot. After the initial glance at the extent of the player’s injury, he will reportedly be assessed through a second round of tests in about 15 days time.
Juventus’ hierarchy earlier declared that the 20-year-old Italy international had already gone through the initial stages of tests and scans via the club’s medical establishment. However, it will now be followed by the second round of tests to further probe into the extent of his fracture.

Reports had it that, Miretti is likely to miss the remaining pre-season friendlies of Juventus leading into the new season. It has been further termed that he is even doubtful for the club’s first game of the upcoming season at this stage.
An official statement by Juventus’ hierarchy inserted – “Fabio Miretti underwent instrumental tests at JMedical this morning, July 29, following a conductive trauma to his right foot, which revealed a compound fracture of the third cuneiform bone. The player will undergo new tests in 15 days”.
It is a concerning one for the Serie A club, as Miretti stands out as one of the important players for them. However, any further report on his availability for the next season might only surface after the second round of tests.
