Joshua Zirkzee open to a summer move to Manchester United

The 23-year-old Dutch forward has emerged as a top target for Manchester United this summer who has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Bologna last season. He has been a key player for a Bologna side that finished fifth in Seria last season to secure in the Champions League after a 50-year absence from the competition.

Zirkzee would be an ideal acquisition for United who has a €40 million release clause in his contract according to 90min and the Red Devils are prepared to make a move this summer. Regular football in the Premier League could accelerate his development and Zirkzee could offer a different style of play for Erik Ten Hag.

The €40 million release clause seems a bit steep for the 23-year-old but the Dutchman is one of the very few players who has the potential to justify the investment in just two seasons.

United would need to bolster their attacking options if they were to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool next season.
