Harry Kane’s message to Arsenal ahead of Champions League quarter-final
The arrival of Harry Kane and Kim Min-Jae was supposed to mark a turning point for Bayern Munich especially with Thomas Tuchel at the helm. But the German boss has struggled to make the most out of an experienced group with a shocking Bayer Leverkusen title charge the headliners in the Bundesliga. It has seen rumours of a rift and issues within the dressing room at Bayern, which has had a knock on effect on the team.
But despite that, Bayern still managed to make the quarter-finals of the Champions League with them pegged against a high-flying Arsenal side. Yet, while few gave the Gunners a chance against their old nemesis, the North Londoners held their own in a game that ended 2-2. While there were a few controversial decisions in North London, it has many waiting for the second leg.
Harry Kane’s message to Arsenal
That is despite the fact that Bayern Munich were on a three game winless run which included two back-to-back losses against Borussia Dortmund and Heidenheim in the league. That included the draw against Arsenal as well but the Bavarians ended their run with a 2-0 win over Koln. It delayed Bayer Leverkusen’s title to Sunday, and forces Xabi Alonso’s side to beat Werder Bremen to lift their first league title.
However, in the after-math, an excited Harry Kane sent a message to Arsenal as the German giants face the Gunners next at the Allianz Arena during the mid-week. It has many fans and critics alike excited for the game especially with the fact that Kane has 39 goals going into the fixture. The forward may not break Robert Lewandowski’s single season record for Bayern just yet but he could break the 40 mark against his old rivals.
