Fantasy Premier League GW 27: Key Injury Updates and Team News

The Premier League will resume with matchday 27 of its 2024/25 season. As the season enters its final stretch, the league table is beginning to take shape. A highly anticipated clash between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur headlines the upcoming fixtures. Ahead of matchday 27, here is an in-depth look at the injury updates and squad availability for all the 20 Premier League clubs.

Arsenal

Arsenal fans are now starting to surrender the hope of winning the Premier League title once again as the Gunners suffered a painful 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham United. Mikel Arteta is finding it challenging to adjust his team selections in light of the serious injury issues at the club. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all battling their respective fitness woes and are not scheduled to return anytime soon. The suspended Myles Lewis-Kelly will also not be in line for selection.

Aston Villa

Unai Emery will feel grateful to have been rewarded with some key reinforcements in the winter transfer window. However, the Spanish coach has his work cut out due to numerous key players being on the sidelines, namely Ross Barkley, Tyrone Mings, Pau Torres, Amadou Onana, and Boubacar Kamara.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth has recovered plenty of players who were out injured in the recent weeks. Adam Smith, Julian Araujo, Marcos Senesi, and Enes Unal are still on their recovery path. Illia Zabarnyi will also miss matchday 27 due to a suspension.

Brentford

Brentford will have to negate the threat of Everton at home without the services of Aaron Hickey (Hamstring Injury), Gustavo Gomes (Back Injury), Thiago Rodrigues (Virus), Joshua Dasilva (Injured), Sepp van den Berg (Knee Injury), Christian Norgaard (Knock), and Rico Henry (Hamstring Injury).

Brighton & Hove Albion

The Seagulls possess one of the longest injury lists in English football currently. Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor Julio, James Milner, Jason Steele, Joel Veltman, Danny Welbeck, and Lewis Dunk will not be available for selection at the disposal of coach, Fabian Hurzeler ahead of matchday 27.

Chelsea

The results are not improving for Chelsea and the London outfit has fallen off the pace completely. Enzo Maresca’s men are now in the seventh spot, behind the European places. Gabriel Slonina, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, David Datro Fofana, Marc Guiu, Nicolas Jackson, and Noni Madeuke will not be available on matchday 27.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace and Oliver Glasner have overseen the recent games without the presence of Chadi Riad, Chieck Oumar Doucoure, and Joel Ward. The three players will still not be able to return for Palace in the foreseeable future.

Everton

Everton has enjoyed a dream run under David Moyes so far. The club has regained hope and fans are once again optimistic of a mid-table finish. Armando Broja (Leg Injury), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Hamstring Injury), Dwight McNeil (Knee Injury), Iliman Ndiaye (Knee Injury), Nathan Patterson (Hamstring Injury), Orel Mangala (Cruciate Ligament Injury), Seamus Coleman (Muscle Cramps), and Youssef Chermiti (Muscle Injury) will not be involved in matchday 27.

Fulham

Fulham has unfortunately encountered a plethora of injury issues in the last few weeks. Emile Smith Rowe, Tom Cairney, Kenny Tete, Harry Wilson, and Reiss Nelson are all ruled out for the club ahead of matchday 27.

Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town’s objective to continue in the Premier League for another season will now take the club to one of the most accomplished grounds in the country, Old Trafford in Manchester. Chiedozie Ogbene, Christian Walton, Conor Chaplin, Jens-Lys Cajuste, Julio Enciso, and Wes Burns will not travel with the rest of the squad for this daunting fixture.

Liverpool

Liverpool’s resounding victory over Manchester City last Sunday has firmly placed the title in Arne Slot’s hands. The Liverpool coach manages to find a way to solve the various fitness issues surrounding his team. Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez, and Tyler Morton will miss the Reds’ next match against Newcastle United.

Manchester City

Manchester City just cannot catch a break when it comes to being involved in big matches. Pep Guardiola’s men have already faced Real Madrid and Liverpool in the past week and will now travel to the capital to take on Tottenham Hotspur. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has not been a favourable venue for the defending champions which presents an intimidating prospect for the club supporters. Erling Haaland has not featured since the victory over Newcastle and there is still no certainty about his return. He will be joined by John Stones, Manuel Akanji, Oscar Bobb, and Rodri on the injury list.

Manchester United

The Red Devils are extraordinarily just three places and 13 points above the relegation zone. The long riches of the club are now lost and Ruben Amorim has the near-impossible task on his hands of guiding the club back to its lost glory. One of the best performers under Ruben Amorim, Amad Diallo has been ruled out for the season due to an ankle injury. Jonny Evans, Kobbie Mainoo, Lenny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Altay Bayindir, Mason Mount, and Toby Collyer are also sidelined due to their respective fitness woes.

Carlos Miguel is suffering from a hamstring injury and is the only doubt for Nottingham Forest as the players prepare themselves for a contest against Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

Southampton

Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke, Heung-Min Son, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, Radu Dragusin, and Timo Werner, are all battling fitness worries and will not be able to contribute their respective services against Manchester City.

West Ham

Crysencio Summerville, Lucas Paqueta, Michail Antonio, Vladimir Coufal, and Niclas Fullkrug will be the absentees for the Hammers ahead of their matchday 27 encounter against Leicester City.

Wolves

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira will feel a sense of frustration in light of the recurring injury woes at the club. He will have to select his best XI without the services of Emmanuel Agbadou, Rodrigo Gomes, Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic, Hwang Hee-Chan, Leon Chiwome, and Yerson Mosquera.
