Feyenoord join the race for Sepp van den Berg
Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is reportedly wanted by 11 clubs in this summer transfer window, including Feyenoord. After a sensational spell with Mainz last season, the Dutch defender was included in Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the United States.
Last season, Van den Berg turned out 33 appearances for the German side and helped Mainz retain their Bundesliga status, which naturally boosted his stock in the transfer market. According to reports, the Dutch defender is available between £20 million and £25 million this summer.
The youngster would force his way out of Merseyside and to one of his many suitors and Feyenoord believe they have a real shot at persuading the defender, as they are betting on their former manager Arne Slot’s influence on the Dutchman.
