Andre Onana (Manchester United)
In the recent 3-0 triumph over Everton, Manchester United’s summer acquisition, Andre Onana, delivered his most impressive performance of the season. The 27-year-old goalkeeper showcased his skills by making six crucial saves, contributing to Erik ten Hag’s team securing a third consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League.
Kieran Trippier (Newcastle)
In the right-back position, Kieran Trippier of Newcastle stood out with another exceptional performance. At 33 years old, Trippier has established himself as perhaps the most consistently impressive right-back in the Premier League. He played a pivotal role in Newcastle’s commanding 4-1 victory over Chelsea at St James’ Park.
Despite a foul leading to Chelsea’s free-kick equalizer, Trippier effectively countered the threat posed by the in-form Raheem Sterling. He not only led the game in touches (117) but also in passes (82), passes in the final third (33), and crosses (16). Trippier’s versatility as a skilled footballer on both ends of the pitch was evident once again.

His defensive performance was characterized by aggression and alertness, making a substantial impact with six clearances, four interceptions, two tackles, and winning seven duels. Lockyer, who was named Player of the Season last year as Luton secured promotion, is set to play a crucial role in the team’s bid to avoid relegation.
Pau Torres (Aston Villa)
In the center-back position, Pau Torres of Aston Villa delivered a commendable performance, highlighted by a powerful header that leveled the score against Spurs. The Spanish center-back, considered a valuable acquisition after reuniting with former Villarreal manager Unai Emery at Aston Villa, has proven to be an assured presence as the team climbed into the top four.
Torres showcased his dominance by winning six out of seven duels in the contest. Notably, he rebounded from an earlier missed opportunity with a brilliant header, converting Douglas Luiz’s free-kick with precision.
Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal)
In the left-back position, Oleksandr Zinchenko of Arsenal stood out as the team’s top performer in their 1-0 victory against Brentford, once again showcasing his importance in Mikel Arteta’s system. The Ukrainian player dominated the stats with the highest number of touches (100), completed passes (70 out of 75), and passes into the final third (10) among all Arsenal players.
Zinchenko also played a significant role in creating a chance for Leandro Trossard. Notably, his defensive contribution was equally vital, highlighted by a crucial goal-line clearance that denied Neal Maupay’s effort. In a narrow victory, Zinchenko’s all-around performance played a pivotal role in sending Arsenal to the top of the league.
Bernardo Silva (Man City)
In the midfield role, Bernardo Silva of Manchester City showcased his consistently high level of performance, particularly in contests against Liverpool. In the 1-1 draw with the Reds, the Portuguese playmaker displayed moments of brilliance, notably pirouetting away from trouble in an exquisite display of evasion.
Throughout the game, the 29-year-old exhibited relentless effort, running tirelessly and effortlessly gliding past top players as if they were not there. With such exceptional and consistent contributions, the question arises whether it is time to consider Bernardo among the Premier League’s best-ever midfielders. His standout performances have played a crucial role in Manchester City’s recent dominance of the division.
Mohammed Kudus (West Ham)
Midfield Mohammed Kudus of West Ham played a pivotal role in turning the tide of the match against Burnley. West Ham seemed headed for defeat with a lackluster performance at Turf Moor, but Kudus orchestrated a late comeback with two crucial assists. The Ghanaian international’s precision was evident as his drilled cross forced an own goal from Dara O’Shea, leveling the score.
In stoppage time, Kudus delivered a wicked cross from the right, finding Tomas Soucek at the back post for the winning goal. At 23 years old, Kudus is increasingly becoming a key influence for West Ham, providing balance, ball retention, and creativity that injected much-needed energy, particularly in the absence of Jarrod Bowen.
Marcus Tavernier (Bournemouth)
On the right-wing position, Marcus Tavernier played a pivotal role in Bournemouth’s resurgence, contributing significantly to their 3-1 victory over Sheffield United, marking their third win in four games. Tavernier, scoring his first goals of the campaign, was the chief architect of the win.
The 24-year-old winger confidently finished Antoine Semenyo’s pass for the opening goal and later added the third goal by arriving unmarked at the back post. Despite a missed opportunity for a hat-trick, Tavernier emerged as a substantial threat for Bournemouth, registering six shots, two goals, and creating three chances.
Jeremy Doku (Manchester City)
In the left-wing position, Jeremy Doku of Manchester City is drawing attention as one of the most captivating players in the Premier League. The anticipation around the Etihad is palpable whenever the City winger gets the ball. Doku’s drive and exceptional dribbling skills were on full display as he posed a challenge for Trent Alexander-Arnold during the recent weekend.
At just 21 years old, Doku plays an audacious brand of football characterized by fleet footwork, and the prospect of Pep Guardiola refining these raw attributes adds an exciting dimension. Once again, Doku delivered an excellent performance.
Anthony Gordon (Newcastle)
In the forward position, Anthony Gordon of Newcastle emerged as a constant threat throughout the afternoon, providing a formidable challenge for Reece James. Although he started quietly in Newcastle’s 4-1 victory over Chelsea, Gordon progressively grew into the game and became the decisive player after the break.
The winger showcased his versatility by creating one goal and scoring another. Gordon played a crucial role in Jamaal Lascelles’ goal by delivering a superb left-wing cross after cutting inside. He then sealed the win with a crisp finish into the far corner. In the midst of these contributions, Gordon played a key role in getting Reece James sent off, showcasing his direct running and continuous menace throughout the game. With eight goals and assists in 12 games for Newcastle this season, Gordon stands out as a significant contributor, leading his teammates in this regard.
Joao Pedro (Brighton)
In the forward position, Joao Pedro of Brighton made a significant impact in the match against Nottingham Forest, despite initially being left out of the starting lineup. An early injury to Ansu Fati provided Pedro with an opportunity, and he seized it with distinction. In a thrilling clash at the City Ground, Pedro scored twice, securing Brighton’s first win in seven Premier League games.
His first goal was a brilliant header from Pascal Gross’ cross, equalizing after Anthony Elanga’s opener for the home side. Pedro then calmly converted from the spot, sending Odysseas Vlachodimos the wrong way for his second goal. In addition to his offensive contributions, Pedro displayed notable defensive efforts for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, winning 11 duels, three tackles, and making four clearances. This performance adds to a memorable month for Pedro, who recently made his senior debut for Brazil on November 16.
