Fabrizio Romano sheds light on Victor Osimhen’s future amidst Arsenal and Chelsea link-ups
According to a recent report by ‘Football London‘, Fabrizio Romano has asserted that as per his knowledge, there haven’t been any official talks so far between Serie A Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen and Premier League club Arsenal regarding a potential transfer move for the Nigerian to the Emirates in the ongoing 2024 summer transfer window.
Romano in a way also pointed out that Chelsea ”never left the race” for Osimhen. However, he quickly jumped on the point that the Napoli striker is more so in favor of a ‘permanent transfer’ and is also not keen to lower his wage demands.
Moving onto PSG, the report insisted that the Ligue 1 side did receive ‘the green light’ regarding a transfer from Victor Osimhen but after that, the French club suddenly engaged in looking for other options.
“I’m also not aware of any negotiation ongoing right now with other clubs, despite some reports in Italy mentioning Arsenal”, Romano has reportedly stated.
Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a while now. But, things haven’t been materializing for the Nigerian in terms of a potential deal.
Certain reports also have mentioned that – Antonio Conte has Romelu Lukaku in his plans at Napoli as the main front-man. It remains to be seen where Osimhen lands leading into the new season.
