Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite agrees personal terms with Man Utd as talks continue between both clubs: Reports
Premier League’s Manchester United have been linked with a move for Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite for quite some time now. The Red Devils are looking to boost their defensive options. But, the Toffees’ asking price for the defender wasn’t meeting their valuation. Hence despite interest from Old Trafford, a deal was said to be difficult.
As per a recent report by ‘GiveMeSport’, Jarrad Branthwaite has agreed on personal terms with United. The 21-year-old Englishman has reportedly given the green light to a transfer to Old Trafford. But, the report further laid out that negotiations are still in place between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee.
The Toffees value the player at around £70 million. But United aren’t on the same page as Everton when it comes to the valuation as the price tag is deemed too high. With the reports directing towards the fact that Branthwaite does want to play for Erik ten Hag’s team, maybe a bargain could be found and agreed on between both the parties involved.
Branthwaite impressed with his consistent performances for Sean Dyche’s Everton throughout the 2023-24 Premier League season. The 21-year-old played 35 games for the Goodison Park-based side in the last campaign. Apart from his maverick defensive contributions, he also went on to score three goals for the club.
United’s fierce rivals Man City have also been linked with the Evertonian. If a deal does materialize for the Red Devils, Erik ten Hag will have a very special center-back at his disposal come next season.
