Everton provide update on Beto after collision during Nottingham Forest win

Everton have confirmed that their striker Beto was knocked unconscious during the win over Nottingham Forest. They added that he was taken to the hospital as a precaution and are waiting for further updates.

Sean Dyche provided an update on Beto after the match and added that it was too early to give anything concrete He added that the striker was speaking to the physios and the medical team while he was on the pitch and it was a good sign.

He said:

“It’s too early from a medical perspective, but the early signs are very good. He had come around and he was speaking to the physios and the medical team so that’s good news at this early stage.”

Everton vs Nottingham Forest was paused for over 10 minutes in the second half after Beto and Morgan Gibbs-White clashed heads. The two were battling for a high ball inside the Toffees half when the incident took place.

While Gibbs-White got up and walked off the pitch for more treatment, Beto remained on the pitch. The Everton striker gave a thumbs-up to the fans as he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

The Toffees were winning 2-0 in the final minutes of the game and went on to keep hold of the lead until the final whistle. The win saw them go 5 points clear of Luton Town, who sit 18th in the Premier League table right now.
