Sean Dyche provides Everton injury update after latest pre-season game
Premier League club Everton‘s manager Sean Dyche provided a brief update on where some of his players stand leading into the new season as far as their recovery and fitness goes. After a 3-3 draw against Sligo Rovers in a pre-season fixture, the Toffees’ boss inflicted his thoughts to the club’s website reporter.
Sean Dyche reportedly asserted – “He (James Tarkowski) has got a minor niggle at this stage and we have to be careful, We have got some other players we’re just being a bit careful with – they’re okay, just a few niggles that we’re going to monitor but nothing too serious”. He further stated – “We’re hopeful with Tarky (Tarkowski), hopefully, it’s nothing”.
Moving onto Jarrad Branthwaite, Deli Alli, and Patterson – Dyche accumulated – “Jarrad is making good progress as are Patto (Patterson) and Dele so we’ll see how those guys go”. Rounding off his comments on fitness and injury issues, the 53-year-old inflicted – “At this stage. it’s nothing too serious so we’re thankful for that”.
Apart from that, The Toffees’ boss seemed satisfied with the performance despite the result being a hard-fought draw. However, he stated the reason behind the players looking a bit legged during the fixture against Sligo Rovers. “They’ve (Players) had some really hard running so we expected them not to be totally sharp and obviously it’s our first one (the pre-season match)”, Sean Dyche further helmed.
Everton will play EFL League Two side Salford City in their next pre-season fixture.
