Enzo Maresca likes Noni Madueke, but he could be sold
The English winger came off the bench to score in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Servette in the Europa Conference League play-off tie. Madueke has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Pedro Neto and Joao Felix in the summer.
His future with Chelsea remains uncertain and could leave the West London outfit if a suitable offer is made. Chelsea are reportedly demanding €33 million and does not want to loan out the former PSV Eindhoven star.
Manager Enzo Maresca has warned Madueke that he needs to perform consistently in training to break into the first team and get more regular minutes. But, he also explained that the winger could be sold in the final days of the summer window.
‘I really like Noni, the only problem with him is he has to understand he needs consistency during the week in every training session,’ Maresca said in his post-match press conference.
But the problem is, the reality is that until the transfer window is not open, anything can happen. But for sure, Noni is the type of player that I like.’
