Daniel Kelly’s Future at Celtic Remains Uncertain Amid Interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur

Celtic are facing a challenge in retaining their promising young midfielder Daniel Kelly.

The 18-year-old’s contract is set to expire in December 2024 but negotiations for an extension have stalled. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the talented player adding pressure to the situation.

Although Celtic have attempted to secure Kelly’s future at Parkhead no agreement has been reached.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on social media that Kelly could leave on a free transfer in January which is drawing interest from several top European clubs including Bayer Leverkusen.

The uncertainty surrounding Kelly comes in the wake of fellow academy graduate Rocco Vata’s recent departure to Watford. Celtic rejected all approaches for Kelly so far but as time runs out the risk of losing another young talent looms large for the Scottish club.
