Crystal Palace vs Burnley Preview:
As the battle to secure a place in the top 17 heats up to avoid relegation in the English Premier League, Crystal Palace vs Burnley this weekend will offer fans of the two clubs a glimpse into what the near future holds for either club. Crystal currently sits five points off the relegation zone in 15th place. The club certainly isn’t in its best moment, having managed to secure only 4 points in their last five outings. Crystal Palace legend Roy Hodgson led the club valiantly from the technical area, but the club has struggled recently. Just as the club seemed to be looking to replace him, Roy suffered health complications and had to forfeit from his role. New manager Oliver Glasner took charge this week and will preside over Palace against Brunley in his first outing.
Meanwhile, Burnley continues to labor through the season in 19th position. The club achieved promotion in the summer on the back of an excellent 22/23 season in the Championship. However, after accumulating just 13 points in the league, it seems the club is bound to return to the lower rung. A matchup against Crystal Palace who is in a bad moment currently could be the ray of light Burnley require to reignite their campaign. Nevertheless, if things don’t change, the club is bound to be relegated as the margin between safety and them broadens.

Crystal Palace vs Burnley Team News:
Crystal Palace:
Crystal Palace were lucky to salvage a 1-1 draw against Everton last weekend despite being poor for most proceedings. Palace struggled to contain Everton and were lucky not to lose despite enabling several big chances for Everton. Palace’s dysfunctionality against Everton wasn’t just a result of poor management, but also down to the unavailability of several players due to injuries.
Cheick Doucouré was enjoying a fantastic season in the heart of Crystal Palace’s midfield. Unfortunately for the Mali national, he snapped his achilles tendon and has been ruled out till May. He has Eberechi Eze to give him company on the sidelines as Eze continues to heal from his hamstring injury. Center back March Guehi will also remain absent as he recovers from the knee injury he sustained in early February. The South London club will also miss the services of experienced Rob Holding at the back as the ex-Arsenal player recovers from his knee injury.
However, the biggest blow for Crystal Palace came on 8 February as MIchael Olise injured his hamstring. The skillful winger has been crucial for Palace’s creativity and will now be missing till April, at least. Central midfielder Will Huges is unlikely to recover in time from the ankle injury he sustained in February as well.
Burnley:
Burnley have been subjected to a tough few weeks as they were beaten by Liverpool 3-1 a week ago before being absolutely wrecked by Arsenal last weekend. Arsenal smashed five goals past Burnley’s fragile defense, exposing further issues in the team. The team is already reelings with the loss of some key players due to injury.
Aaron Ramsey sustained an injury in the tie against his former club, Arsenal, and is unlikely to return for Palace. Defender Jordan Beyer will also miss the tie against Palace as he continues to recover from his thigh injury. Winger Nathan Redmond also sustained a freak injury in training and is likely to miss the rest of the season.
Youngster Luca Koleosho has been fantastic for Burnley on the wing this season, but his knee injury in December is likely to sideline him till March. Lyle Foster remains on the sidelines after his surgery.
