Coventry City Transfers: Joe Worrall Hurdle, Jack Rudoni Fee Clarity, and Nottingham Forest Setback
It has been a busy start to the summer transfer window at Coventry City with the Sky Blues already making some notable signings. But there is still much work to be done before the window closes on August 30th.

Joe Worrall Update
Over the weekend reports emerged that Coventry City had joined the race to sign Nottingham Forest center-back Joe Worrall.
Coventry are interested in a loan deal for the 27-year-old but this could be problematic. Nottingham Forest are eager to sell Worrall to raise funds and avoid breaching Profit and Sustainability guidelines.
This means Coventry’s hopes of securing Worrall on loan may not align with Forest’s plans to sell him outright by the end of the week.

Jack Rudoni Fee Revealed
Coventry City’s signing of Jack Rudoni from Huddersfield Town has raised some eyebrows and that too especially regarding the transfer fee.
Initial reports suggested a hefty £6 million deal potentially rising to £10 million with add-ons.
However, BBC Sport journalist Nick Mashiter has clarified that Coventry paid an initial fee of £3.6-3.8 million. While add-ons are involved the total cost is not expected to exceed £5 million which is much lower than initially thought. This makes Rudoni’s acquisition a more economical move for the Sky Blues.

Nottingham Forest Setback: Marko Stamenic Moves Elsewhere
Coventry City have faced a setback with the missed opportunity to sign Marko Stamenic from Red Star Belgrade. Nottingham Forest swooped in and signed the New Zealand international on a five-year deal.
Adding to Coventry’s frustration Forest have immediately loaned Stamenic to Greek club Olympiacos meaning he won’t be featuring in English football for some time.
Coventry City manager Mark Robins remains busy aiming to strengthen the squad further to improve on last season’s ninth-place finish in the Championship. With the transfer window still open fans can expect more activity as the club looks to finalize its roster for the upcoming season.
