Cheslea Injury Update: Trevoh Chalobah and Robert Sanchez sidelined again ahead of Burnley clash
Prior to the Burnley game at Stamford Bridge this weekend, Chelsea had an injury update as Trevoh Chalobah and Robert Sanchez has joining the club’s injury list. Both players will not be available to play in the near future with different issues and will continue treatment with Chelsea’s medical team.
Chalobah has just returned to join The Blues squad after the Carabao Cup final in February, playing four games. He has cemented his position in a partnership alongside Axel Disasi and this injury comes as a huge blow to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Mauricio Pochettino was initially happy with Trevoh Chalobah’s progress
Earlier this month, Mauricio Pochettino said that he was happy with Chalobah’s progress. He missed most of the games since the beginning of the season and was expected to be a first pick player for Chelsea for the rest of the season.
“We are so happy because he was suffering,’ said Pochettino at the beginning of March. “He was really fit in pre-season and he was playing the most until in Washington, against Fulham, he felt something in his quad. Then started the torture because it was one thing after another.”
Trevoh Chalobah and Robert Sanchez joining the long list of injury at Chelsea
Chalobah will train partially WITH the main team while Sanchez continues to undergo his rehab program with a doctor. Apart from Sanchez, the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, and Lesley Ugochukwu will also spend another day of treatment.
Sanchez was previously reported to be on the selling list of Chelsea This summer. Blues owner Todd Boehly is not happy with his performance so far after coming with a £25 million price tag.
The rumours even said that Chelsea was planning to sell him in January. However, his current injury issue prevented the club from selling him that month. With summer coming, it is believed that Chelsea will use the period to offload the Spanish goalkeeper.
Chelsea are currently struggling to break into the mid-table of the Premier League. Their billions of money spent in the summer seems to have had very little impact on the club’s performance so far, being stranded at 11th on the table.
