Chelsea inch closer to signing Gabriel Mec

Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Gabriel Mec from Gremio. The 16-year-old has agreed personal terms and the move is now set to be completed soon.

As per a report in HITC, Mec is set to cost Chelsea over £20 million and he will not be moving to Stamford Bridge this summer. He can leave Brazil after turning 18, and the Blues will have to wait for him.

The Premier League side have done similar deals in recent transfer windows and Kenedy Paez and Willian Estevao signed in a similar fashion. The duo are highly rated in South America, but will only join Chelsea next summer when they both turn 18.
