Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings: The Seagulls pose a dramatic comeback over Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur were caught with their classic disease from the past of bottling things when visiting Brighton at Amex Stadium. Spurs were leading by two goals by the half time but ended up suffering a 2-3 defeat from the host side. The Lilywhites’ two goals which were scored by Brennan Johnson and James Maddison became meaningless as the opponents managed to score more than they did.
Brighton urged the fans to watch the game until the final whistle as The Seagulls pulled up a dramatic comeback at Falmer Stadium. In the second half, Fabian Hürzeler encouraged his players to at least score a goal to narrow the gap which they did. Yankuba Minteh started it all three minutes coming to the second half. Georginio Rutter scored the equaliser 10 minutes after Minteh struck Gigi Vicario’s net. Danny Welbeck put the ice on the cake with his goal in the 66th minute and the lead stood until the final whistle.
